A QR-code-based table ordering system for a mid-size restaurant in Siem Reap. Customers scan a QR code at their table, browse the digital menu, and place orders directly to the kitchen display. No app download required. The entire experience runs in the browser. Staff can manage orders, mark items as unavailable, and print kitchen tickets.
Peak hours saw long wait times for orders. Paper menus were costly to reprint when items changed, and staff spent too much time running between tables and the kitchen.
Built a real-time ordering system using Next.js and WebSockets. The kitchen display updates instantly. QR codes are permanent and menu changes happen in the admin panel in seconds.
